Bako Amgbanshin was a Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Rivers State, Nigeria. He was killed by suspected cultists on Friday, September 8, 2023, in Ahoada East Local Government Area of the state.

Amgbanshin was born in the 1970s in Ahoada East Local Government Area. He joined the Nigeria Police Force in 1999 and was posted to different parts of the country, including Abia, Imo, and Rivers states.

In 2022, Amgbanshin was appointed DPO of the Ahoada Police Division. He was known for his dedication to duty and his commitment to fighting crime.
On the day of his death, Amgbanshin and his team were on an operation to raid some criminal hideouts in the Ahoada East axis when they were ambushed by suspected cultists. Amgbanshin was captured and killed, and his body was dismembered. The killing of Amgbanshin was condemned by the Rivers State Police Command, which vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice.
